AmeliaLoves to swim!

Cindy, I had to tell you about this...

I am scared, mortified, thankful and elated all at the same time!!! We went up to the neighborhood pool today for a few hours. The kids had so much fun jumping in and swimming to the wall and the steps. While we were walking beside the pool on our way to leave Amelia fell in!!! I was walking two steps ahead of her (my arms full of towels, a cooler and pool toys) and Preston was in front on me. I turned around to tell Mia to hurry up and didn't see her anywhere. I happened to look down in the water and there she was floating just like you taught her!!! It happened to be adult swim and no life guards were on duty and there was also nobody around in the pool who saw her fall...it is a miracle that I turned around when I did!!! She has a lump and a scrape behind her ear where she hit the edge when she fell. I am pretty sure she was just not looking where she was going (classic Amelia). She is a little confused as to how she fell in…I hope she will not be scared to swim for you tomorrow. I learned my lesson to never let the children walk where I can't see them around the pool...I am just glad a bump on the head is the worse thing that happened!!! Your lessons saved her life, and I will be forever grateful to you. We'll see you tomorrow. I hope your daughter is feeling a lot better. Thanks for teaching my kids!!
